George Orwell


George Orwell was born Eric Arthur Blair on 25 June 1903, born in Bengal, India. He was schooled in England, but later to become Imperial Police in Burma. After that, he went back to Europe to write novels and essays. He didn't really like the government so he bagged on both capitalism and communism. So as a writer, he wrote about his concerns in other context. He wrote other novels such as Burmese Days, Down and Out in Paris and London,The Road to Wigan Pier, and Homage to Catalonia. Between 1941 and 1943, he worked on propaganda for the BBC. In 1943, he became literary editor of the Tribune. He died of tuberculosis on 21 January 1950.
